Setting sail? Make sure you’ll be covered
Whether you most want to sail the Whitsundays, the Great Sandy Strait, Port Stephens or Lake Macquarie, sailing can be a high-risk activity and things can go wrong in a split second. Without suitable insurance that will cover you while sailing, you may find yourself left on your own if you were to have an accident or experience a medical emergency while out at sea.
Ensure your trip really is smooth sailing
At PassportCard, we want you to enjoy every minute of your travels. If for you that involves heading out on the water and riding the winds with a sailing trip, it’s important to know when you will and won’t be covered.
When you purchase one of our travel insurance policies, we’ll automatically cover you while yachting, provided you stay within territorial waters. We will not pay claims where you have travelled into international waters in a private sailing vessel or privately registered vessel. If you are unsure whether the sailing activities you have planned will be covered by our travel insurance, it’s best to contact us by calling 1300 123 413 for more information about what our travel insurance does and does not cover.
Please note that PassportCard also offers cruise travel insurance. Find out more about our cruise travel insurance.
